A fun and flavorful twist on classic deviled eggs, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar (white or apple cider)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Black olives or pimento-stuffed green olives (for decoration)
  • Optional: food coloring (green or black) for a spooky twist

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in a saucepan covered with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then cover and remove from heat, letting sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs in an ice bath or under cold running water for about 5 minutes.
  3. Peel the eggs by tapping and rolling them on the counter, then peeling from the larger end.
  4. Prepare the filling by slicing the eggs in half lengthwise and mashing the yolks in a bowl.
  5. Mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until creamy. Add food coloring if desired.
  6. Fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  7. Add paprika on top and decorate with black olives as desired.

Notes

Ensure eggs are fresh for easier peeling and use food coloring sparingly.
