A fun and delightful way to celebrate Halloween with gooey peanut butter cookies decorated as spooky spiders.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Reese’s Pieces (for legs)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for drizzle)
  • Candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda in a mixing bowl until well blended and smooth.
  3. Roll the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Flatten each cookie ball gently with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
  5. Press Reese’s Pieces onto each cookie for the legs of the spider, using 4 pieces per cookie.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Cool the cookies slightly, drizzle melted chocolate chips over each, and add candy eyes on top for decoration.

Notes

Mix just until combined to keep the cookies soft, and avoid over-baking for the best texture.
